Water rated products

Greener Homes In Australia it is mandatory for many plumbing products, sanitary ware and white goods to carry an approved water ratings label.

The federal Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) Scheme labels products for water efficiency, helping Australian households save water and money. By buying more water-efficient products you can save money on water and electricity bills and help the environment.

The Water Rating Label shows a number of stars to give a quick comparative assessment of the model's water efficiency, and an estimate of typical water consumption.

The (WELS) Scheme website has detailed information about water efficiency ratings.
